TiviMate EPG Not Working? Fix Missing Guide Data in 2025

The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) powers the on-screen schedule in TiviMate — and when it fails, your channels show up blank or mismatched.

This can happen after updates, DNS changes, or playlist refreshes, but it’s easy to fix once you know where to look.

Here’s how to get your EPG working again in minutes.

1. Refresh or Reassign the EPG Source

Start by making sure your EPG URL or XML file is still valid.

To check:

  1. Open TiviMate → Settings → TV Guide → EPG Sources

  2. Tap your EPG → Refresh

  3. If it fails, re-enter your EPG URL (from your provider or source)

If you use Xtream Codes login, the EPG is usually automatic — but you can still refresh it manually here.

2. Check That the EPG URL Works

If your EPG is external, open the link in a browser.

If you see XML code or channel data — it’s valid.

If it fails or downloads a blank file — the link is broken, and you’ll need to contact your provider or use a backup source.

Pro Tip: Some users fix blank guides instantly by replacing http:// with https:// in the EPG link.

3. Change DNS or Clear Cache

EPG data is small but sensitive to slow DNS. If the guide loads halfway or not at all, your DNS may be blocking the XML feed.

Fix:

  1. Switch to a faster DNS:

    • Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1

    • Google: 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4

  2. Clear TiviMate’s cache:

    • Settings → Apps → TiviMate → Storage → Clear Cache

  3. Restart your device and reload the guide.

4. Adjust Time Zone or Offset

If your guide loads but shows programs at the wrong time, it’s just a clock mismatch.

To fix:

  1. Go to Settings → TV Guide → Time Offset

  2. Adjust by +1h or -1h until it aligns correctly

  3. Confirm your device’s time zone matches your provider’s

Example: If shows appear one hour late, set the offset to +1h.

5. Assign EPG Manually to a Playlist

Sometimes, TiviMate fails to auto-link the EPG. You can manually assign it:

  1. Long press your playlist → Manage Playlist → EPG Source → Assign Manually

  2. Choose the correct EPG

  3. Wait 30–60 seconds for it to sync

6. Clear and Rebuild the EPG Database

If none of the above fixes work, reset the guide completely.

To reset:

  • Go to TiviMate → Settings → TV Guide → Clear EPG Data

  • Exit the app

  • Relaunch and allow it to rebuild the guide from scratch

This resolves corrupt XML cache issues left by older builds.

Quick Recap

✅ Refresh or reassign your EPG
✅ Verify your XML or URL source
✅ Change DNS to a faster resolver
✅ Adjust time offset (+/- 1h)
✅ Assign EPG manually if needed
✅ Clear and rebuild the guide

Final Tip

In 2025, most TiviMate EPG errors come from DNS timeouts or expired XML feeds, not from the app itself.

By refreshing your source and clearing the cache, your full program guide will usually return instantly.

Keep your EPG links updated, verify your provider’s feed regularly, and your TiviMate guide will stay perfectly synced all year long.
